1. SlipTap이란?

SlipTap은 프로툴(Pro Tools)에서 반복적으로 사용하는 AudioSuite 작업을 더 빠르게 실행하기 위한 버튼·단축키 중심 보조 도구입니다.

프로툴즈에서 자주 쓰는 플러그인의 Render / Learn / Send 동작을 패널 버튼이나 단축키에 연결해 두고 반복 클릭을 줄일 수 있습니다.

현재 버전의 핵심 기능

• 패널 버튼 실행: 3×3, 4×4, 5×4 레이아웃 지원
• 단축키 실행: Pro Tools가 전면에 있을 때만 작동
• 플러그인 지정: 열린 AudioSuite 플러그인을 버튼에 직접 연결
• 플러그인 창 탐색: 열린 플러그인 창을 목록에서 찾아 전면으로 가져오기
• 플러그인 창 정렬: 열린 AudioSuite 창을 타일식 또는 계단식으로 정리
• 플러그인 점검: 현재 프로필의 지정 플러그인 이름과 실제 열린 Pro Tools 창 제목을 비교해 누락 항목 확인
• 프로필 관리: 버튼 구성과 레이아웃을 프로필로 저장, 전환, 백업

Mac

Pro Tools

• AudioSuite를 지원하는 Avid Pro Tools
• Pro Tools UI 언어 자동 인식: 영어·독일어·스페인어·프랑스어·일본어·한국어·중국어 간체/번체

필수 권한

• 손쉬운 사용(Accessibility): Pro Tools 창을 읽고 AudioSuite를 조작하기 위해 필요합니다.
• 입력 모니터링(Input Monitoring): 전역 단축키 감지를 위해 필요합니다.
• 두 권한은 시스템 설정 → 개인정보 보호 및 보안에서 허용합니다. 권한이 없으면 해당 기능이 동작하지 않습니다.

인터넷 연결

• 라이선스 활성화와 자동 업데이트 확인 시 필요합니다.
• 활성화 후에는 오프라인에서도 최대 14일까지 사용할 수 있습니다 (이후 한 번 재연결 필요).
• 무료 체험판(14일)은 오프라인에서도 동작합니다.

라이선스

• 라이선스 1개로 본인 소유 Mac 최대 2대를 동시에 활성화해 사용할 수 있습니다.
• 세 번째 Mac으로 옮기려면 기존 Mac 중 한 대에서 설정 → 라이선스 → 비활성화를 실행한 뒤 새 Mac에서 활성화합니다.

3. 최초 설정

SlipTap을 정상적으로 사용하려면 아래 두 권한이 필요합니다.

손쉬운 사용

• 용도: Pro Tools 창 제목을 읽고, AudioSuite 창을 찾고, 버튼 동작을 실행하기 위해 필요합니다.
• 경로: 시스템 설정 > 개인정보 보호 및 보안 > 손쉬운 사용
• 설정 방법: 목록에서 SlipTap을 허용합니다.

입력 모니터링

• 용도: Pro Tools 사용 중 지정한 단축키를 감지하기 위해 필요합니다.
• 경로: 시스템 설정 > 개인정보 보호 및 보안 > 입력 모니터링
• 설정 방법: 목록에서 SlipTap을 허용합니다.

권한이 없을 때

• 패널 버튼 클릭은 일부 동작할 수 있어도, 단축키와 창 제어 기능은 정상 동작하지 않습니다.
• 앱 하단 로그에 권한 필요 안내가 계속 표시될 수 있습니다.

체험판과 라이선스

• 다운로드하면 14일 무료 체험으로 시작하며, 그동안 모든 기능이 열려 있습니다.
• 구매 후 받은 라이선스 키와 이메일을 환경설정 > 라이선스 탭에 입력하면 같은 앱이 정품으로 전환됩니다 (재설치 불필요).
• 체험 잔여일은 메인 창 하단 상태바의 체험판 배지와 라이선스 탭에서 확인할 수 있습니다.

4. 기본 사용법

권장 설정 순서

1. Pro Tools에서 사용할 AudioSuite 창 열기 — 먼저 사용할 플러그인 창들을 Pro Tools 안에서 열어 둡니다.
2. [플러그인 지정] 열기 — 메인 창에서 [플러그인 지정] 버튼을 누릅니다.
3. 열린 플러그인을 버튼에 지정 — 오른쪽의 열린 플러그인 목록을 왼쪽 패널 버튼 카드 위로 드래그해 놓습니다. 이미 지정된 항목 위에 놓으면 기존 연결이 새 플러그인으로 바뀝니다.
4. 버튼 정보 정리 — 메인 창으로 돌아와 각 줄의 패널 표시명, 실행 방식, 단축키를 필요에 맞게 설정합니다. 실행 방식은 현재 Render / Learn / Send 중에서 선택합니다.
5. 실행 — Pro Tools 작업 중 패널 버튼 클릭 또는 등록한 단축키로 실행합니다.

같은 플러그인의 여러 동작을 각각 버튼에

• SlipTap에서는 같은 플러그인을 여러 패널 버튼(또는 단축키)에 지정한 뒤, 각 항목의 실행 방식을 Render / Learn / Send 중 필요한 것으로 다르게 선택할 수 있습니다. 여러 항목이 같은 열린 플러그인 창을 대상으로 하므로, 해당 창은 하나만 열어두면 됩니다.
• 예) 현장음(앰비언스) 매칭: 한 버튼은 Learn, 다른 버튼은 Render로 지정 → 깨끗한 구간에서 Learn(학습), 빈 구간에서 Render(채워넣기)를 각각 키 하나로.

메인 화면에서 자주 쓰는 버튼

• [패널 열기]: 설정한 버튼 패널을 엽니다. (Command + P)
• [플러그인 지정]: 열린 AudioSuite 플러그인을 패널 버튼에 연결합니다.
• [플러그인 점검]: 현재 프로필의 지정 플러그인 이름과 실제 열린 Pro Tools 창 제목을 비교해 누락 항목을 확인합니다.
• [플러그인 창 탐색]: 열린 플러그인 창을 목록에서 찾아 전면으로 가져옵니다. (Command + Shift + A)
• [플러그인 창 정렬]: 열린 AudioSuite 창을 정렬합니다.
• [프로필 저장]: 현재 편집 중인 프로필 내용을 즉시 디스크에 저장합니다.
• [단축키 재시작]: 단축키 엔진이 멈췄을 때 다시 연결합니다.

패널 상태 점

패널 우측 상단의 점은 단축키 엔진 상태를 뜻합니다.

• 초록색: 정상 작동
• 노란색: Secure Input 때문에 단축키 차단
• 빨간색: 단축키 엔진 비활성 또는 재시작 필요

5. 고급 기능

단축키 설정

• 각 행의 [설정] 버튼을 누른 뒤 원하는 키를 누르면 단축키가 등록됩니다.
• Control + S 같은 조합키뿐 아니라 S, N 같은 단일 문자 키도 등록할 수 있습니다.
• Pro Tools 기본 단축키와 충돌하면 경고창이 먼저 표시됩니다.
• 같은 SlipTap 내부에서 이미 사용 중인 단축키는 중복 등록되지 않습니다.

프로필 관리

• 프로필 드롭다운: 저장된 프로필 전환
• [+]: 새 프로필 생성
• [-]: 현재 프로필 삭제
• [이름 변경]: 현재 프로필 이름 변경
• [프로필 저장]: 현재 프로필을 즉시 디스크에 저장합니다. 대부분의 변경사항은 자동저장되지만, 작업 직후 현재 상태를 바로 디스크에 반영하고 싶을 때 사용합니다.
• 자동저장 위치: 프로필은 ~/Library/Application Support/SlipTap/Profiles/에 저장되고, 인덱스는 ~/Library/Application Support/SlipTap/profiles.index.json에 저장됩니다.
• File 메뉴 > 현재 프로필 내보내기…: 현재 선택한 프로필 1개만 .sliptap-profile 파일로 따로 저장합니다. 특정 프로필만 다른 Mac이나 다른 사용자에게 옮길 때 사용합니다.
• File 메뉴 > 전체 프로필 내보내기…: 모든 프로필을 .sliptap-backup 파일 하나로 저장합니다. 전체 설정을 백업하거나 새 컴퓨터로 옮길 때 사용합니다.
• File 메뉴 > 프로필 불러오기…: 외부 프로필 1개를 추가
• File 메뉴 > 전체 프로필 복원…: 전체 백업 파일을 병합 또는 교체 방식으로 복원
• 자동 백업: 프로필 저장 또는 앱 종료 시 AutoProfiles-1~3 3개 파일을 순환 저장합니다. 기본 백업 위치는 ~/Library/Application Support/SlipTap/Backups/입니다.

PT 단축키 CSV

• File 메뉴 > PT 단축키 CSV 가져오기…: 사용자 CSV를 불러옵니다.
• File 메뉴 > 기본 PT 단축키 CSV 사용: 앱에 포함된 기본 CSV로 되돌립니다.
• 이 CSV는 Pro Tools 기본 단축키와의 충돌 경고에 사용됩니다.

단축키 재시작

단축키가 갑자기 동작하지 않을 때 사용합니다.

• 실행 위치: 메인 창 우하단 [단축키 재시작] / 메뉴 작업 > 단축키 재시작
• 권장 상황: 시스템 잠금 해제 직후 · 패널 상태 점이 빨간색일 때 · 단축키 변경 후 반영이 꼬였을 때

플러그인 창 탐색

• 실행 위치: 메인 창 상단 [플러그인 창 탐색] / 메뉴 Window > 플러그인 창 탐색 / 단축키 Command + Shift + A
• 동작: 현재 열려 있는 AudioSuite 창 목록 표시, 검색어로 빠르게 필터링, 항목 클릭 시 해당 창을 전면으로 가져오기
• 설정에 따라 선택 후 창을 자동으로 닫을 수 있습니다.
• 설정에서 위치 동작을 "화면 중앙"으로 두면 선택한 창을 그 창이 위치한 모니터의 작업 영역 중앙으로 옮긴 뒤 전면화합니다 (기본값은 "현재 위치"이며 이때는 위치를 그대로 둡니다).

플러그인 창 정렬

• 실행 위치: 메인 창 상단 [플러그인 창 정렬] / 메뉴 Window > 플러그인 창 타일 정렬 · Window > 플러그인 창 계단 정렬
• 정렬 기준: 정렬은 현재 마우스 포인터가 올라가 있는 화면(모니터) 기준으로 실행됩니다.
• 단축키: 타일 정렬 Command + Option + T · 계단 정렬 Command + Option + C

플러그인 점검

• 현재 프로필에 저장된 지정 플러그인 이름과 실제 열린 Pro Tools 창 제목을 비교해 누락된 항목만 따로 보여줍니다.
• 목록에서 필요한 플러그인만 체크한 뒤 [선택 불러오기]로 열 수 있습니다.
• 상단 [모두 선택]으로 한 번에 체크할 수 있습니다.

설정

SlipTap > 환경설정… 에서 앱 동작을 관리합니다.

• 일반: 표시 언어
• 패널: 시작 시 패널 자동 열기, 패널 항상 위, 패널 위치/크기 초기화
• 플러그인 창 설정: 창 탐색에서 선택 후 자동 닫기, 창 탐색 선택 시 위치 동작(현재 위치 / 화면 중앙), 플러그인 지정 시 표시명 자동 변경
• 프로필/백업: 자동 백업 폴더 관리

6. 주의사항 및 팁

플러그인 지정

• 플러그인 이름은 직접 입력하지 말고 [플러그인 지정] 창에서 열린 AudioSuite 항목을 드래그해서 연결하는 방식으로 쓰는 것이 가장 안전합니다.
• 버튼에 지정 플러그인이 비어 있으면 해당 버튼은 실행되지 않습니다.

단축키

• 단축키는 선택 사항입니다. 단축키를 지정하지 않아도 패널 버튼 클릭으로 실행할 수 있습니다.
• 단축키는 Pro Tools가 전면에 있을 때만 동작합니다.
• 저장/열기 패널, 텍스트 입력창, 보안 입력 상태에서는 단축키가 차단될 수 있습니다.

같은 이름의 플러그인 창

• 같은 이름의 플러그인 창이 여러 개 열려 있으면 SlipTap은 항상 가장 앞의 창을 대상으로 동작합니다.
• 뒤에 숨어 있는 특정 같은 이름 창을 직접 지정해 고정하는 기능은 현재 없습니다.

플러그인 점검

• 플러그인 점검은 버튼에 저장된 지정 플러그인 이름이 실제 Pro Tools 창 제목과 같아야 정확하게 동작합니다.
• 이름이 어긋난 경우에는 [플러그인 지정]에서 실제 열린 창을 다시 드래그해서 덮어쓰면 맞춰집니다.

권한/입력 문제

• 손쉬운 사용 권한이 없으면 플러그인 지정, 창 탐색, 창 정렬 같은 기능이 제대로 동작하지 않습니다.
• 입력 모니터링 권한이 없으면 단축키가 작동하지 않습니다.

1. What Is SlipTap?

SlipTap is a button- and hotkey-focused helper for running repeated AudioSuite tasks in Pro Tools more quickly.

You can bind frequently used Render / Learn / Send actions to panel buttons or hotkeys and reduce repetitive clicking during editing.

Core Features in the Current Version

• Panel Button Execution: Supports 3×3, 4×4, and 5×4 layouts
• Hotkey Execution: Works only while Pro Tools is frontmost
• Plug-in Assignment: Directly assign open AudioSuite plug-ins to buttons
• Window List: Find an open plug-in window in a list and bring it to the front
• Arrange Windows: Arrange open AudioSuite windows in tile or cascade mode

2. System Requirements

Mac

• macOS 13.5 (Ventura) or later
• Apple Silicon and Intel Macs (universal binary)
• About 30 MB of disk space

Pro Tools

• Avid Pro Tools with AudioSuite support
• Automatic Pro Tools UI language detection: English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Korean, Simplified & Traditional Chinese

Required Permissions

• Accessibility: needed to read Pro Tools windows and drive AudioSuite.
• Input Monitoring: needed to detect global hotkeys.
• Grant both in System Settings → Privacy & Security. Features that depend on a missing permission will not work.

Internet Connection

• Required for license activation and update checks.
• After activation the app keeps working offline for up to 14 days (then it needs to reconnect once).
• The 14-day free trial works fully offline.

License

• One license can remain activated and be used on up to two Macs you own at the same time.
• To move to a third Mac, deactivate one existing Mac in Settings → License, then activate the new Mac.

3. Initial Setup

SlipTap needs the following two permissions to work correctly.

Accessibility

• Purpose: Required to read Pro Tools window titles, find AudioSuite windows, and run button actions.
• Path: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Accessibility
• How to set it: Allow SlipTap in the list.

Input Monitoring

• Purpose: Required to detect the hotkeys you assign while using Pro Tools.
• Path: System Settings > Privacy & Security > Input Monitoring
• How to set it: Allow SlipTap in the list.

When Permissions Are Missing

• Some panel button actions may still partially work, but hotkeys and window-control features will not behave correctly.
• A permission warning may continue to appear in the status log at the bottom of the app.

Trial & License

• Every download starts as a fully featured 14-day free trial — all features are unlocked during that time.
• After purchase, enter your license key and email in the Settings > License tab and the same app unlocks (no reinstall).
• Remaining trial days appear in the trial badge in the main window's bottom status bar and in the License tab.

4. Basic Usage

Recommended Setup Order

1. Open the AudioSuite windows you plan to use in Pro Tools — Open the plug-in windows you want to use in Pro Tools first.
2. Open [Assign Plug-in] — Click [Assign Plug-in] in the main window.
3. Assign open plug-ins to buttons — Drag an item from the open plug-in list on the right and drop it onto a panel button card on the left. Dropping onto an already assigned item replaces the existing connection with the new plug-in.
4. Finish the button details — Return to the main window and set Panel Label, Run Mode, and Hotkey as needed for each row. Run Mode currently supports Render / Learn / Send.
5. Run — While working in Pro Tools, use either a panel button click or the registered hotkey.

Two Actions of the Same Plug-in, on Separate Buttons

• In SlipTap, assign the same plug-in to multiple panel buttons (or hotkeys), then choose the required Run Mode — Render, Learn, or Send — for each one. Multiple slots can target the same open plug-in window, so you only need one window open.
• Example — ambience match: set one button to Learn and another to Render. Learn over a clean region, then Render the match into the gap — each on its own key.

Main Buttons in the Main Window

• [Open Panel]: Opens the configured button panel. (Command + P)
• [Assign Plug-in]: Connects open AudioSuite plug-ins to panel buttons.
• [Plug-in Check]: Compares Assigned Plug-in names in the current profile with actual open Pro Tools window titles and checks missing items.
• [Window List]: Finds an open plug-in window in a list and brings it to the front. (Command + Shift + A)
• [Arrange Windows]: Arranges open AudioSuite windows.
• [Save Profile]: Immediately saves the currently edited profile to disk.
• [Restart Hotkeys]: Reconnects the hotkey engine if it stops responding.

Panel Status Dot

The dot at the top-right of the panel shows the hotkey engine state.

• Green: Working normally
• Yellow: Hotkeys blocked by Secure Input
• Red: Hotkey engine inactive or needs restart

5. Advanced Features

Hotkey Setup

• Click [Set] on a row, then press the key you want to register.
• You can register modifier shortcuts such as Control + S, as well as single-character keys such as S or N.
• If the shortcut conflicts with a default Pro Tools shortcut, a warning appears first.
• Duplicate shortcuts already used inside SlipTap cannot be registered.

Profile Management

• Profile dropdown: Switch between saved profiles
• [+]: Create a new profile
• [-]: Delete the current profile
• [Rename]: Rename the current profile
• [Save Profile]: Immediately save the current profile to disk. Most changes are saved automatically, but use this when you want the current state written to disk right away.
• Autosave location: Profiles are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/SlipTap/Profiles/, and the profile index is stored at ~/Library/Application Support/SlipTap/profiles.index.json.
• File menu > Export Current Profile…: Save only the selected profile as one .sliptap-profile file. Use this when moving one profile to another Mac or another user.
• File menu > Export All Profiles…: Save all profiles into one .sliptap-backup file. Use this for a full backup or when moving all settings to a new computer.
• File menu > Import Profile…: Add one external profile
• File menu > Restore All Profiles…: Restore a full backup by merge or replace
• Automatic Backups: Rotate AutoProfiles-1~3 when saving a profile or quitting the app. The default backup location is ~/Library/Application Support/SlipTap/Backups/.

PT Shortcut CSV

• File menu > Import Pro Tools Shortcuts CSV…: Load a user CSV file.
• File menu > Use Bundled PT Shortcuts CSV: Revert to the bundled CSV included with the app.
• This CSV is used for conflict warnings against default Pro Tools shortcuts.

Restart Hotkeys

Use this when hotkeys suddenly stop working.

• Where to run it: [Restart Hotkeys] at the bottom-right of the main window / Tools > Restart Hotkeys
• Recommended when: Right after unlocking the system · When the panel status dot is red · When a hotkey change did not apply correctly

Window List

• Where to open it: [Window List] at the top of the main window / Window > Window List / Command + Shift + A
• What it does: Shows a list of currently open AudioSuite windows, filters quickly by search text, and brings the selected window to the front.
• Can automatically close after selection depending on settings.
• When Window Placement is set to "Center on Screen" in preferences, the selected window is moved to the center of the visible area of the display it belongs to before being brought to the front (default is "Keep Current Position", which leaves the window where it is).

Arrange Windows

• Where to run it: [Arrange Windows] at the top of the main window / Window > Tile Windows · Window > Cascade Windows
• Arrangement target: Arrangement runs on the display where the mouse pointer is currently located.
• Shortcuts: Tile Command + Option + T · Cascade Command + Option + C

Plug-in Check

• Compares the Assigned Plug-in names saved in the current profile with the actual open Pro Tools window titles and shows only missing items.
• You can check only the plug-ins you need, then click [Open Selected].
• Use [Select All] at the top to check everything at once.

Settings

Manage app behavior in SlipTap > Preferences…

• General: Display language
• Panel: Auto-open panel on launch, keep panel on top, reset panel position/size
• Plug-in Window Settings: Auto-close after selecting a window; window placement on selection (Keep Current Position / Center on Screen); auto-update the panel label when assigning a plug-in
• Profile / Backup: Automatic backup folder management

6. Notes & Tips

Plug-in Assignment

• Do not type plug-in names manually. The safest workflow is to drag from the [Assign Plug-in] window using currently open AudioSuite items.
• If a button has no assigned plug-in, that button will not run.

Hotkeys

• Hotkeys are optional. You can still run actions by clicking panel buttons even without assigning hotkeys.
• Hotkeys work only while Pro Tools is frontmost.
• Hotkeys can be blocked in Open/Save panels, text input fields, or Secure Input states.

Plug-in Windows with the Same Name

• If multiple plug-in windows with the same name are open, SlipTap always targets the frontmost window.
• There is currently no way to pin and lock a specific hidden duplicate window.

Plug-in Check

• Plug-in Check works correctly only when the Assigned Plug-in name saved on the button matches the actual Pro Tools window title.
• If the names do not match, go back to [Assign Plug-in] and drag the real open window again to overwrite it.

Permission / Input Issues

• Without Accessibility permission, features such as plug-in assignment, Window List, and Arrange Windows will not work properly.
• Without Input Monitoring permission, hotkeys will not work.
