How do I uninstall SlipTap?
Click Preferences → General → [Uninstall SlipTap…] at the bottom to uninstall SlipTap.
- If the license is active, SlipTap releases this Mac's seat first (needs an internet connection). If it can't, it stops and tells you.
- It then removes SlipTap from the Accessibility and Input Monitoring lists, deletes its settings, logs, caches and this Mac's license registration, moves the app to the Trash, and quits.
- Your profiles are kept. To delete them too, tick “Also delete profiles and automatic backups (moved to the Trash)” in the confirmation.
If you already dragged the app straight to the Trash, follow these manual steps:
- If you activated a license on this Mac, open View Order in your purchase receipt email, open the license, and click Deactivate next to this Mac under Activations.
- In System Settings → Privacy & Security, select SlipTap in each of the Accessibility and Input Monitoring lists, then click [−].
- Optionally, delete any SlipTap folder or preference file from ~/Library/Application Support and ~/Library/Preferences.
Still stuck?
Right after the problem happens, open Preferences → Diagnostics → Export Diagnostics in SlipTap and send us the file. It records the app and macOS versions, permission state, hotkey engine, Secure Input, recent actions and errors, and crash information. It does not include Pro Tools session names, file names, clip names, or your license key.
